Public order laws are laws designed to ensure safety and order in public places. Public order offenses include crimes such as resisting an officer without violence, resisting an officer with violence, disorderly conduct, and providing false information to a police officer, however, there are many others.
Driving under the influence is defined as a person in actual control of a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a chemical substance with a blood or breathe alcohol .08 or above.

It is important to note that some controlled substances are outright illegal to possess while others are illegal to possess in the absence of a prescription by a licensed medical doctor.

In Florida, Theft Crimes can range anywhere from a Second Degree Misdemeanor to a Punishable by Life Offense. These Crimes include crimes such as Petit Theft, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Robbery.
Assault and Battery crimes include the illegal threatening and illegal touching of another. There are defenses to Battery in the State of Florida such as Stand Your Ground and Self Defense.
Common Violations include failing to report to probation, failing a drug screen, failure to complete a court mandated educational class, failure to complete community service, or being arrested for a new law offense while on probation. Remember an arrest doesn’t always mean you’ve committed a crime; police only need probable cause of commission of a crime to execute an arrest.
